Leaders are Readers

Wednesday, March 9th, 2005

What a stupid title for this post! But I liked it. I am an avid reader. I love to read and read about a book a week but as our church grows, I find less and less time to do it. Well, I was introduced to a great resource recently. Summaries.com is a great resource for books on business. The summaries are great and get straight to the point. Check out the 4 week plan as a starter. I think you’ll dig it.

Learn from others…

Monday, March 7th, 2005

I think church planters make a great mistake by trying to reinvent the wheel. Learn from others! Learn from their success and mistakes. One of the sharpest church planters I know if Greg Rohlinger. Greg is the church planter of Palm Valley Community Church in AZ. I recently saw that he posted a great article on Terry Storch’s Blog. He gives some great insight into what is working for him and his church. To read the article, click here.

It is like a drug…

Monday, March 7th, 2005

Church Planting truly is a drug. It gets in your system and takes over. To go and start something from nothing, is a rush. Ridge Stone Church is my second and my last church start but, I love it and would trade the feeling of doing it for nothing in the world. I have picked up a lot of tidbits over the years and hopefully will posting them along with other things I find here on this blog. If you can use any of the information, great! If not, that is fine too. At the least, my prayer is they will give you something to think about.
