One of our staff values is that we as a staff will get away together for a time of R & R. I think this is vital for team building and for renewing of vision. So right after church we are leaving for New Spring Community Church in Anderson, S.C. NSCC is a thriving church plant that is running right at 4,000 on Sundays. We came across them through the Fellowship Connection and due to them being so close our staff started e-mailing them questions. They have been great and we are actually taking our middle school students to camp with them this year. This will be the first time I have been to one of their services so we are pretty pumped. I think it is vital for church planters to get out and see other church plants that are getting it done. I think visiting established churches is important but a church plant is a different monster all together. Get out and find out what makes them tick. I will post my thoughts on NSCC when I get back. It is going to be a blast.
