Is blogging dying?

I have noticed a lot of people I really dig that have stopped blogging or are thinking about stopping. It seems like pastors blogging is dropping like flies. I can’t help but wonder if it was just a fade or what.

I think blogging is hard for pastors for several reasons:

1.) It takes time
2.) Everything you say is open for the public
3.) The written word sometimes comes across different then you intended
4.) Criticism - I can take it as much as the next guy but a lot of guys figure why I should I post when every thing I write gets negative reponses

There are several other reasons but the numbers don’t lie. Pastors are stopping or slowing way down in their blogging.

I thought I was taking a break but it might be for good.
I love blogging but I have to ask myself is it a one of the things that could be done without in my life.

Sorry Perry…

Yeah, I’m still on my blogging break. I got the itch to get back and I have A LOT of thoughts but they can wait until 07. BUT, I could not pass up the fact that at 9:03 p.m. it is the 4 quarter of the SEC championship game and we are winning 34-7. So it appears we will be the SEC champions yet again. It is good to be king.

I’ve been down on my dawgs lately and to be honest I figured we were going to lose tonight. I had actually accepted that fact because if we lost we would have played Clemson in the Peach Bowl. I was looking foward to the smack talk with Perry but when you are the champions you don’t lower yourself to play the likes of Clemson. :)
Perry, do you guys still remember what it was like to be a champion?
How many years has it been? :)
Go DAWGS!
