Just Chillin….
Today is our last day here. We will head back home Saturday around noon and I will be teaching on Sunday (can’t wait!!!!). This has been one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken. We literally didn’t nothing but walk outside the condo, down some steps and chilled at the beach all day. We are schedule people but we forgot about schedules with the kids and just came and went as we wanted too. The kids have had so much fun, DeAnna has had so much fun, and I have had fun watching them.
The weather has been GREAT and the food has been off the hook!!!! We came here a lot when I was kid so it was cool to take the family to eat at some places that I ate at every year as a kid.
Yesterday I drove to Destin and had lunch with Robert Pooley and Bobby Lepinay at the Hard Rock Cafe. Last night it stormed and it was awesome to look out over the deck and see the lighting hit the ocean. How could anyone see God’s creation and not believe there is a God who created that?
I feel rested and ready for the fall growth we have coming up.
This is the last week of our series called Love Affair.
Next week we have a AWESOME suprise for Labor Day.
Then we start a series called Together about small groups and about our new addiction group starting. I am so excited about our small groups this year. Malcolm Young is doing a GREAT job creating a buzz about them. Ridge Stone, you have the greatest staff in the world!
Then in October we are launching a series that will be one of the most exciting series we have ever done. It will be all about stretching your faith and stepping up to leave YOUR MARK (there is your hint again) on the landscape of Ridge Stone Church and the landscape of our mission here in Canton, Ga. I can’t wait!!!!!
Thank you to all of you who has e-mailed me this week with kind words and letting me know you were praying for me on vacation. The rest was much needed and I am ready to get back to doing what God let’s me do and that is lead Ridge Stone.
See ya Sunday!
