Well, I did good Sunday evening, Monday all day, Tuesday all day, but today I screwed up. It was overcast and I figured I didn’t need sunscreen. Plus I was only going to be outside for about an hour. I am NOW FRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I look like a lobster and I am hurting.
I’m doing a lot of reading while my wife lays out in the sun, the kids swim and I do the good daddy/husband thing and sit under the shade as not to get fried.
I got to tell you I am getting fed big time on a reading level. I just reread a book and started another one (I’ll share some reviews later). But I am getting more fed by some blogs.
Scott Whitaker is one of my best friends in ministry. I often say he has more head knowledge about church planting then anyone else I know. He lauched Stone Point Church two weeks ago and now that head knowledge gets to become practical knowledge. He is knocking it out of the park! He had a great post on something I am VERY passionate about and that is creating the Big Mo! Check it out here…
Perry had a GREAT post today that needs to be must reading for ALL pastors and planters.
Check it out here.

It is Tuesday so I am watching Rockstar: Supernova and as Ryan Star got up to perform, I thought to myself that is how Tony Morgan would look for if he worked at The Stone.
That dude looks just like a rocking Tony Morgan (not that Tony isn’t normally rocking)!
My show is back!!!! I’ll admit the show didn’t end last season like it started, but man it kicked off tonight like it was back!!!
It was off the hook and if you aren’t watching this show you are missing out!
It is amazing how you go and go and go and never realize you are tired. Today on my first day of vacation I have been wiped out. I could barely do anything but sleep. I went to the pool with the kids, we celebrated Ashlyn’s birthday, and have just rested. Tomorrow I plan on hitting it hard with the family. It is so nice not to think about the church for a few days.
Tonight I promised Ashlyn we would get in the ocean after the sun goes down (don’t ask, she wanted it) and then I am watching Prison Break which starts back tonight!!!!!!!
Well, I left today at 1:30 and right now I am sitting out overlooking the beach in one of the most beautiful condos I have ever seen. To the person who let’s us use this every year, THANK YOU!
DeAnna left with the kids a couple of days ago and when I got here they were gone so I am just sitting out looking at the ocean and wondering how anyone could see that and not believe in God.
We had a good service today. Crowd was good, worship was incredible, and the message seemed to click. I have taught two very hard messages in a row, but it was much needed.
I’m chilling for the rest of the week but I am sure I will be blogging before heading home Saturday.
I am looking forward to the week off and I am looking forward to teaching this coming Sunday!!!
FINALLY, I have e-mail. A friend got it up and running and I am thankful!
Finally, the REAL polls are out and we are 14 in one and 15 in the other. Clemson is 18th.
NOW, I’m ready for some football….
Had lunch with Bob Reccord yesterday. Bob is the former prez of the North American Mission Board.
I had met him when I served on the Young Leaders Missional Leaders Taskforce last year that they put together. It was cool to meet with him and pick his brain on some things in regards to leadership and Ridge Stone. He is speaking at all the Promise Keepers events this year and God had really laid on his hear to invest in young leaders.
I had a great time and my respect for the dude has grown…
