GREAT Day….
Left Canton about 9 this morning with one of our guys and headed to Athens for the Georgia game. I don’t know what Georgia has done but the traffic flow in there is as good as I have ever seen it. I went to a few games this year and we were in and out every time. Today we got there about 11 and had 4 hours to kill. We walked around and had a good time checking out all the people tailgating. Tailgating is an amazing thing. The work and loyalty that goes into it is amazing. We saw a lot of strange things but by far the strangest was the old man walking around with a billy goat dressed in a Georgia jersey.
Athens was as rocking as I have ever seen it. Seriously Athens is one of the greatest college towns I have ever been in. Besides pastoring, all I have ever done is work with college ministry and DeAnna spent 4 years living in a college town and nothing compares to Athens on game day.
Sanford Stadium was slammed. I have never seen it so crowded. The energy was crazy and the place was rocking.
Oh yeah, Georgia won. But I’m not sure that was ever in question. Hey Tech fans I know you have grown tired of hearing this but THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR! ![]()
One more thing: Clemson lost as well so my bet with Perry ended in a tie. I’ll take it.
