Coming Together….
Cheri told me today that I seemed a lot happier this week and was laughing and smiling a lot more. I got to admit it surprised me when she said that as I find consider myself to be a pretty upbeat person…..normally.
Her comments really stuck with me and I thought about them a lot today and I got to admit, she is right. This week for the first time in about two months I feel as if things are coming together. Things have been crazy (in an awesome way) since December.
Since December 1st we have:
- Bought almost all new equipment to be more portable
- Redesigned all our branding (thanks o2graphicdesign)
- Built out from scratch a 2500 sq ft warehouse into a youth worship area
- Went through all the hype over Christmas Eve
- Went to two services
- Grew by 200 people in a one month
- Made some staff changes
I didn’t realize it at the time but I got so focused on all that stuff that to be real honest, I quit enjoying the ride. I live to have fun so when things are fun I am not fun to be around
However things changed this week. Like never before I have been depending on God and trusting in Him and I can feel it big time in my spiritual walk right now. I rearranged my schedule and I made the choice that I am not going to get so caught up in everything that I don’t enjoy what is going on.
I am at a very good place in my life right now:
- My walk with God is exciting and fresh
- My home life is really rocking
- Our staffing team is as strong as ever. This week things have clicked like they haven’t in a long while. Also adding Cheri another day and bringing Taylor is going to be huge. I am blessed to do team with these guys.
- Things like Home Teams and Youth which have kicked our butts are going like never before
- Lives are being changed
- People are getting IT
- The MO is incredible
- After a year, the office remodel is almost completely done!!!!
It is a good feeling to have things going like they should. It is good to be part of something where God is doing awesome things.
It is GREAT to see things coming together. God has done some amazing things with us being pretty dysfuncitional in many areas for the last two years. I can’t wait to see what He does now that we actually have our ducks in a row.
