Pooping in the Potty - Not Good
In the last month or so Avery has been potty trained…when it comes to #1, but we are still waiting on #2.
Today has been THE day we have determined he IS going to do it. DeAnna has literally set in the bathroom with him for probably three hours. He is running around naked (very white trash like) because if we put pants on him, he will drop it in there. He keeps trying to sneak off but we won’t let him out of our sight.
It has not been a fun day and to be honest I don’t understand why he is so FREAKED out about going #2 in the pot.
You would think he wouldn’t want that stuff in him and that he would want to get it out. If I wasn’t a pastor I would have a harder time understanding this. But 9 years in ministry has shown me for whatever reason people have a hard time letting go of the crap in their life.
I think there is a sermon illustration in there somewhere.
EDIT: Mission accomplished! AT 7:12 p.m., 13 hours after DeAnna started the day determined that there would be poop from Avery in the toliet, it happened. It was not pretty and there was a lot of crying but it happened. Now, what crap in your life do you need to let go of? ![]()
