What are we looking for in an intern?

Ridge Stone Church — Gary on May 1, 2007 at 9:11 am

We have already gotten several e-mails from people wanting to know what exactly we are looking for in regards to an intern and what the job will entail.  If you know anything about us, you know we don’t run with a lot of structure so to say I have a job description would be a lie, but let me share with you some things we are looking for and what you will be doing.

What we are looking for:

  • You got to be a Jesus Freak!
  • You got to have a heart for the unchurched.  I’m not talking about some little Christian who thinks it would be “cool” to seee “lost” people.  I am talking about a dude who is a freak about reaching out those who are disconnected to Christ.
  • You have a desire to be involved in church planting one day.
  • You have a desire to see church done different.
  • You have  desire to see a church do whatever it takes to reach people
  • You have to be willing to work for free.
  • You have to be willing to work full time at the church.

What you will be doing:

  • Working like a dog. :)
  • You will spend time in every ministry learning the how and why of what we do.
  • You will be involved in helping us put on portable church every week.
  • You will have one on one time with each of our staff to ask questions.
  • You will have a weekly role in our set-up/tear-down, children’s area, and youth.
  • You will travel with me some this summer as I visit other churches.
  • You will do whatever w find necessary for you to do.
  • You will be part of a church that is growing and is freaks about reachng unchurched people.

If you are interested, contact me at the contact page at the top of the page or e-mail Taylor Wiseman at taylor@ridgestonechurch.com.
