I notice everyone else is jumping on the bandwagon so let me join. Registration is open for the churchplanters.com conference. Hands down I think this along with Unleash at New Spring was the best conference we attended last year. I didn’t say the best church planting conference, I said the best conference…period.

This year looks to be just as good. Seriously I would put the line up of main session speakers up against ANYONE. Bil Corneilus, Steven Furtick, Darin Patrick, Mark Batterson, and Shawn Lovejoy. That is an amazing group of speakers.

Along with the main sessions, I think they do the best breakouts anywhere. My staff still talks about the creative planning session from last year. I have been asked to come and do another breakout this year. I will be teaching on the subject of portability is not an excuse. Last year, I just got to shuck the corn and go after it in my breakout. This year we are going to bring our whole team in and we are working on some things that will truly help you as you do church in a portable setting. We have met in a school, a movie theater, and it looks like our Jasper location will be meeting in a portable setting as well. We don’t know much, but we do know portable church.

Along with the conference I think one of the things that makes the churchplanters.com conference so good is the size. Because of the building, they cap it at around 750 people and because of the location there is nowhere to go for lunch so you get to hang out and network. More then any conference I have attended I met people last year that I still have contact with.

In some ways it is wrong to call it a church planting conference. If you pastor an established church it is still a GREAT conference to attend.
