CRAZY week!!!!

This week has been NON-STOP!!!!!!!!!!!  I can’t remember the last time we had such a crazy week, but I thrive on it!

• Amy fell down the steps and messed her neck and head up pretty good.
• That meant Malcolm had to leave work Monday right after getting there.
• Malcolm, Preston, AND Cheri were all sick this week.  The guys missed work.  Cheri is tough, she came in.
• We dealt with a couple of people who get their poor little feelings hurt because I said we started this church for those who don’t do church.  I thank God for the Christians God sends to us BUT they have to understand our mission and vision and that is to reach lost people.  I love the ones that get THAT!
• Had a meeting with a couple I am really starting to dig about taking our Thanksgiving Dinners for those in need to another level!  I love people who put their faith into action.
• Malcolm met with the bank about getting some things in line for our Jasper location.
• Had a GREAT conversation with a guy who is known in our community as being a hell raiser.  He walked in our service and people instantly knew his reputation.  He came to our service last week and told me he is coming back this week.  As he told his story of past mistakes and how the church just looked down on him, it was a GREAT reminder of why we started Revolution!
• Had a fun time getting to know and hang out with Denise Hotze as she was so cool to come and paint my office.  Another cool story of someone being burned out on chruch but loving Revolution.  We’re not perfect by any means, but I love the heart of our people to keep the main thing the main thing.
• Ended up not going to Catalyst Conference due to all the craziness.  A little bummed but not too much.  I get so bored at conferences but I would have loved to see some friends I haven’t seen in a while.
• Squeezed in some bike riding time.  Holy crap, that is hard!!!!!!!  I hit my first hill today and I honestly thought I was going to die.  I am so out of shape that I am ashamed.
• Malcolm is nailing down our first budget!  I love having my best friend as my right hand man.  He is knocking it out of the park.
• I love having a staff full of people that are my friends.
• Adam has spent the week getting ready for the first Sunday morning service geared towards our youth!!!!  You ought to see the sound system God provided for those guys!!!!  Amazing!!!
• Taylor started helping me with research this week and she was awesome getting information for me.  I love having Taylor as my assistant.  Her and Chris are an example of what every young married couple should be.  I am very proud of how much they have grown in the last two years.  I trust both of them with my life.
• We spent the week getting all the final touches done for our new series that starts this week!!!  What until you see the stage design this week!  The creative team has taken to evenn another level.
• Jenna spent the week getting ready for the new pirate series they are launching in Planet Shakers.  My kids can’t wait to dress up like Pirates on Sunday.  I love a church where my kids love to go!!!!!!!!

Man, I love what I do for a living!  Seriously I love Revolution Church and I count it an honor that I get to pastor this place.  I love the craziness of it and I love the fact that we have a church full of people who get what IT is about.
