Wow.  That just happened.  Freaking Amazing.

I must have a thing for “G” because I love the Georgia Bulldogs and my pro team is the Green Bay Packers.  I love Favre and I love how crazy their fans are.

Anyway, does anyone know who had the “G” logo on first?  The Dawgs or The Pack?

How do I know it is New Years Day?  Because DeAnna has collard greens cooking (for money in 2008), black-eyed peas cooking (for luck in 2008), a Honey Baked Ham in the fridge (just because you need some type of meat), Mac and Cheese cooking (just because it tastes good), and the Dawgs are playing tonight in the Sugar  Bowl (where they belong).

That is what I call starting the year off right!

I can’t believe Bobby Petrino just quit on the Falcons like he did.  What a freaking loser.  He at least could have waited until the end of the season.  The dude was such a wuss that he actually told Arthur Blank the day before he was staying.

I have been a few quitters in my day but this dude takes the cake.  Now, we need to go out and hire Bill Cowher.

Georgia/Auburn is today!!!! The seniors are calling for a “black out” meaning they want everyone to wear black to the game today to “black out” the stadium. I dig it. Richt swears the players aren’t wearing black jerseys but that would be awesome if they came out in them. I’m not counting on it, but I do think it would be sweet.

Georgia wins by 14 today.

• Dawgs looked good come the 3 and 4 quarters.  Nice win.
• GREAT job by Colorado.  I have always liked those guys since 1990 when they made Ga. Tech share the National Championship with them.
• I root for Clemson once a year and that is against Tech.  Looks like in typical Clemson fashion, they are going to let me down.  Just another reason to hate them.
• Why does ABC insist on showing Southern Cal EVERY freaking week?????  We don’t care about them here in the south so show us a better game!
• I think the Gators will probably kill Auburn tonight.  Which means I get to laugh at one group of people tomorrow and I will have to listen to another group talk smack.
• Notre Dame.  Nuff said.
• Kentucky ain’t no joke
• Neither is South Florida
• I love doing nothing on Saturday but watching football and grilling out!!!!

Tomorrow is packed out with some great games!

Notre Dame wins their first game….or at least scores their first touchdown

I just watched Tech kick the crap out of Notre Dame.  After the game, ND went to endzone and locked their arms and sang some song.  The people in the crowd were doing it too.

What was that about?  Is that some tradition they have?  Fill me in.

Quick thoughts:

• Georgia will win but it will be CLOSE.  Okie State ain’t no joke.  This game makes me nervous.
• Georgia Tech will play Notre Dame close but lose.  Chan always plays good teams close, then gets killed by bad teams.
• Upset of the week:  Auburn will lose to Kansas State.
• How in the heck is Clemson the Monday night game?  That is a joke if I ever saw one.
• Cal will beat the volunteers.
