I hate Chris Elrod

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

At one time I had a friend named Chris Elrod, but for at least the rest of today, I hate him.  No, I am not kidding.  Yes, I hate him.  In the last 24 hours he has made fun of me for being a wuss and not being around while the eel was being removed and now he has called my Dawgs out for their game against the Gators.

Tomorrow we might be friends again, but not today.

For the record….

Not sure I will get a chance to post again before the game so I am saying it right now that Georgia will beat Florida.  To me the biggest game of the year is the game against the Gators.  I clear off the schedule, grill some hot wings, sit on the coach and nothing gets me attention unless there is blood involed during this game.

It will be close but we will knock Tebow out of the game in the second quarter and we will win.

Go Dawgs!

Nothing to say…

Come on Dawgs!!!!

GREAT Lesson for Church Planters

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

I am a huge Georgia Bulldog fan and while I think Mark Richt can be too nice at times, I am glad he is our coach and I think he is one of the best in the nation.  Anyway, I read this article in the AJC today about Richt giving up a lot of his day to day activities so he can better focus on the big picture.

It took me three years to realize the importance of this and I guess it took Richt 7 years, but I think this is a GREAT lessong for church planters.  You can’t do it all and you don’t need to do it all.  Check out the article here.

Georgia Losing It’s Voice?

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

Dang, just read that Larry Munson might be retiring due to health reasons. Larry is THE voice of the Georgia Bulldogs and I can honestly not imagine listening to the Dawgs without Larry.

Who could forget the famous line, “Look at the sugar falling from the sky!”

Who could forget “Lindsay Scott! Lindsay Scott!”

Who could forget “Oh, you Herchel Walker!”

I think he might be one of the BEST forever. If you never experienced Larry, click here and check him out.
